Am I a Poet?

I say - I want to be a poet.
I want to be a writer.
But I am already writing
words that I feel
inside me
on me
around me
I touch
There is the other me
words burn like fire
fire
My soul is on fire
I am singed
my fingertips BLACK
Poetry creates me
one spark
one flame
one ember
at a time
